If you would like to try Portuguese cakes without leaving Madrid, we recommend you Pastelería Lisboa, a family run business by a Portuguese couple, which offers typical Portuguese bakery and pastry like Belem cakes, rice roll and Berlim balls. For those who prefer something salty, we highlight their empanadas, their folar (bread stuffed with sausages) and their “croquetas” of cod, among others. You can find them in Calle José Ortega y Gasset 55.

Another option is the roof of the Círculo de Bellas Artes, where you can have breakfast with 360º views of Madrid. It is located on 56 meters high on Calle Alcalá and represents one of the most important private cultural centers in Europe. The place, with industrial furniture, was designed by the interior designed studio Cuarto Interior. It represents a unique gastro-cultural project in a privileged location.
